2000  Started taking classes in Lancaster

Continued to take from several local teachers, Litani, Elisheba, Jaheela and Jazana are all excellent!  Also workshops and classes in Pa, Md, NJ and Maui.

2004  Opened Arabian Nights Oasis 

While wearing harem pants to class, several students approached me and asked where I got them.  Also when performing,  others noticed the gorgeous skirts and veils I wore.  After numerous questions and requests for various costume items; I recognized the need for local talent to design, sew and sell belly dance items.  I expanded my small lingerie business to include a division of Belly Dance Apparel.

Sewing has always been one of my favorite things to do.  Spending many hours with my Mother creating my prom gowns, my bridesmaids dresses and more.  When my Mom died Dec, 1998 I stopped sewing for several years  Dancing has brought that joy back to me.

I dedicate my sewing ability to my Mother - Ruth! 

My sales experience dates back to 1972, working in a retail store.  Self employed selling since 1989.

Rasheika, owner and seamstress teaches in Manheim and Elizabethtown, PA.

Classes include: veil, free style, Wings of Isis, choreographies, sword and zills.

Rasheika's Arabian Treasures are a local dance troupe who have performed at various venues.    Currently on hiatus due to foot surgery.

After their first performance in the Lancaster area, Rasheika's students requested to form a troupe.  Her son, Kirvo dances and student teaches.  His speciality is fantastic and exciting choreographies.
